Seeking individuals with P numbers

Dear Green Industry

On behalf of the SAGIC training committee chairperson, we wish to inform the Green Industry that we are exploring the viability of presenting training across the industry relating to pest control. In order to determine how best to set up this training, SAGIC needs to determine the number of individuals that have a P number.

The P number refers to individuals that have a Certificate of Registration with the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries in terms of the Fertilizers, Farm Feeds, Agricultural Remedies and Stock Remedies Act, 1947 (Act Nr 36 of 1947). This certificate enables a registered individual to be a Pest Control Operator.

Please could any individual in the green industry, or related field, that has a P number provide SAGIC with the following information:
i. Name
ii. P number
iii. Fields of pest control registered in
iv. Province where work is undertaken
v. Company name
vi. Contact number
vii. Email address
