1. Introduction to Pest and Weed Control
By the end of this course, participants will be able to scout, identity, and describe common pests, diseases and weeds in nurseries or landscapes. Participants will also understand best practices in pest, disease and weed management.

This course equips learners to lead teams in ornamental plant nurseries, cut flower farms, and landscaped environments.

Learn key skills to supervise teams effectively within the unique structure of your organisation. Key topics include defining the supervisor’s role, effective communication, training and coaching, boosting productivity and performance, managing team dynamics, planning and scheduling work.

General Course Requirements
- Each learner must have a mentor who also attends sessions.
- Sessions will be hosted via Google Meet and run from 14:00 to 16:00.
- Each session is practical, concise, and focused on real-world tasks.
- All materials will be shared post-session for reinforcement and application.
- Attendance and completion of all worksheets are required to earn a certificate of attendance.
- Course fees are payable in advance and are non-refundable.
- A minimum of 15 learners per course is required.
Enrolments must be completed and paid for at least one week before the course start date.
